My training teaches your dog what to do
— not just what to stop doing.
Get back to loving your dog. It can be exhausting when your dog pulls, ignores you, or acts out on walks. You shouldn't have to dread visitors, walks, or feel embarrassed by your canine companion.
We can train outside for walks in your neighbourhood or visit a local park, shopping area, pub, or even the groomers, to resolve problems outside the home.
Hi, I'm Anna, founder of Denzel's Dog Training. I spent many years in higher education and was a Senior Lecturer in Theatre before retraining as a dog trainer. My passion for helping people learn and grow eventually led me down a different path: supporting dog owners who are struggling with challenging behaviour and want to build a better relationship with their dogs.
I specialise in helping owners navigate one of the most difficult issues in dog ownership: reactivity. I named my business after my own rescue Staffy, Denzel. When I first adopted him, he was reactive and challenging to handle at times. Through patience, clear communication and consistent training, he became the wonderful companion he is now. He remains my pride and joy, and the foundation of everything I do.
Today, I help owners move from frustration and uncertainty to confidence and calm, using practical training that makes sense to both dogs and humans in single and multi-dog households. If a reactive rescue Staffy can do it, your dog can too.
Tell me what you're struggling with — I assess your dog's behaviour and understand your goals.
I create a personalised training programme tailored to you and your dog.
I teach your dog and coach you in handling and confidence via 1–1 sessions.
You don't need to wait for the next session to ask questions or get advice and guidance.
Use as practice or mark milestones — and keep great photos of your dog.
Your dog and you both learn real skills that stick long-term.
This bespoke programme includes equipment, a personalised training plan, training videos, and the relief of knowing you have expert support via a weekly call and daily WhatsApp answers to questions and advice whenever you need it.
6 × 75 minute in-person sessions over 5–6 weeks, all one-to-one in your home and local environment. Time to play, do training activities, talk and plan.
WhatsApp support and regular check-ins between sessions so you're never alone with your questions. Weekly Google Meet calls for a 30–40 minute catch up and Q&A.
A bespoke programme designed specifically for you and your dog's unique needs and goals.
Field practice in actual locations — front door, car, local parks, streets — where you need the skills most.
No more buying equipment you don't know how to use. I'll set you up with the right gear selected specifically for your dog, and show you how to use it properly.
Short recap videos from each session so you can review techniques and track your progress.
Private in-home training packages tailored to you and your dog's needs – get the help where you need it most, in your home and neighbourhood.
Because all coaching is one-to-one, I only work with a limited number of clients and dogs at one time. If you're tired of feeling embarrassed, frustrated or like you've tried everything, don't wait to get the support you need.
Let's Talk About Your DogEstablish predictable patterns that bring structure and calm to your home. No more door/window barking.
Trust yourself to guide your dog through any situation with clarity and handle the lead skilfully.
Your dog listens because they want to, not because they have to. A calmer home is better for both of you!
Enjoy peaceful outings without tension, pulling, over-excitement, or reactive barking.
Most people who come to me have been through the same thing. The difference is this isn't a one-off session where you get some advice and then you're on your own. It's structured with 1:1 attention, a customised plan to work from between sessions, and WhatsApp support throughout.
Any breed. I've worked with everything from Chihuahuas to German Shepherds. The programme gets tailored to your dog, whatever they are.
I hear this a lot. But most people have only tried a handful of common methods that aren't tailored to their specific dog. This is different because it's built around your dog's issues, your environment, and your daily routine. Not a generic approach.
You could try more YouTube videos or Facebook advice. But how long have you been trying already? If you wanted results by now, you'd have them. This gives you a proven plan and someone in your corner the whole way through, so you can stop guessing.
Both. I work as a dog trainer and offer dog behavioural modification training for reactive dogs and other problem behaviour. The approach is always built around the individual case, using balanced, evidence-based methods. There is no single recipe. What matters is the outcome: a calm, confident dog, and an owner who knows how to keep it that way.
Though each case is unique, most clients see results after the first or second session, which is very encouraging! Owners leave each lesson with practical tools and a clearer understanding of their dog's behaviour. More complex behavioural issues like reactivity will likely take more time and consistency in approach. Patience and regular training are key to long-term success, and the coaching I provide supports owners in maintaining their own home practice to keep up momentum. By the end of the programme, you'll feel confident in how to read your dog, get ahead of problems, and handle situations that used to feel overwhelming.
Every case is different, so every programme is priced for the dog, the owner, and the outcome we're agreeing to deliver. I'll walk you through pricing on the application call once we understand what you're dealing with. You can pay via PayPal's Pay in 3 option if payment in full is an issue.
No obligation — let's talk about your dog's needs and see how I can help you.
